Inclement Weather Policy
by posted 01/18/2019

If for some reason there is inclement weather on a Saturday or Sunday when WYB basketball is scheduled, here is how a cancellation will be communicated.

- Post a note on the home page of http://worthingtonbasketball.org/
- Send an e-mail message to all coaches
- Send group e-mail to all participants through the WYB Basketball Website.
- Tweet to @wybsports and #WYBHoops
- All facility personnel and game officials will be notified.

Every attempt will be made to cancel at least an hour prior to the first start time of the day.

Please note that if WYB Basketballcancels due to weather, the entire day of activity is lost with no possibility to make it up.  We will not add on another week at the end of the season as a make-up.

Since the vast majority of participants live in Worthington, a decision to cancel will only occur if the weather is at Level 3 or if the facility itself makes the decision to close.

The expectation if the weather is poor and we are still scheduled for activity is that people would just allow a little bit of extra travel time to get across town.  If anyone felt conditions were unsafe to travel, then they should make their own decision not to attend and stay safe at home.
